Was the victim or suspect actually a direct employee of GM? The story reads like they were employees of a contractor doing custodial work at the plant. If that is indeed the case, the use of a the lead photo with the jacket featuring the UAW and GM logo is very misleading and should be corrected.

Problem is, it’s NEVER enforced. Studies have shown that distracted driving is just as bad, if not worse, than driving under the influence.   Punishment for both should be similar.

+1. All these “just part it out, NBD” types need to step up and put their money where their mouth is. They see a profitable parts car, I see months of yanking parts, putting them on eBay, packing and shipping stuff, coping with all the headaches of dealing with strangers online and at the end of it all you have the

$999 and I’d take it. The chassis isn’t interesting or modular enough to waste time on swapping or doing anything interesting. But for the price of a set of Michelin pilots, I could see myself throwing a few hundreds and hours of brainstorming to get the thing running. I’m certain its not just the fuel pump though
