Very cool, would be great if they either released an iPhone app or let it work with non-garmin GPS units.

@jinushaun: I found mine at Ikea, too, but in the kitchen section — a butcher block countertop. Drill a few holes in the bottom for the legs, and you've got a 96" wide workspace made of real wood. Under $200, too.

Sites like the NYTimes hate this sort of thing; I think that's the beef they had with Pulse Reader back when it was rolled out, no?

@pojken: Yep — that opening sentence about unused carpentry wood is pretty dangerous.

Snope'd

I use Safari 95% of the time. Firefox takes so long to boot up, it's almost a joke.. and Chrome is still too alpha for full-time use, in my experience.

For most people, not cooking amounts to eating out, which will most likely not result in any savings.

I suspect this has more to do with differences in hardware and architecture than anything else. The new AppleTV has an A4 chip in it and is running an iOS variant designed to look like the old interface, the old AppleTV had an Intel Pentium M 1.0 GHz chip.

Quirky just developed a (far more expensive) solution for this: [www.quirky.com]

The forearm system is good, but this one is pretty neat too — goes over your shoulders.

I have a friend who checked all of his married friends into local strip clubs. Good times.

Wow, that would be a terrifying place to be at night.

Sure, it's neat, but it's overrun with hipsters.

I have a zip-top cooler bag in the trunk for hot or cold food, enroute to a dinner party or on the way back from the supermarket, this is super handy — and it folds to a small size when I'm not using it

@erattixconcepts: Faulty touch screen on one iPhone, I don't remember what happened with the second, but in the first case I had already bought a replacement, so they just credited me the purchase price of the new one. In the second case, they credited the purchase price of the original phone.

@ehed: Here it is - you can see the shadow of the dessert amid the light band.
