There are FAA regulations requiring one to stay at least 500' from the surface, or 500' from any person, vessel, vehicle or obstacle (14 CFR 91.119). Any planned deviation from this rule needs to be approved in advance from FAA.
I was on a B777 flight which was struck by lightning on climb out. There was a bright flash outside the right-side windows, and a moderate thump. No issues and we continued to our destination (7 hours away).

I bought a regular EV6 a couple months ago. Even with “only” 320 HP and 446 lb-ft, it’s still pretty quick. I also am able to have a charger at home, so no worries there. Pretty happy so far.
