I really, really hate when people say, “I could care less,” when what they are actually trying to say is, “I couldn’t care less.” The former indicates that they actually do care, at least somewhat.

I just got back from a hike. I took my neighbors’ dog (Lola, 9 year old boxer) since we have the kind of hood where we can take their dog, randomly leave beer in their fridge, and exchange babysitting for booze and peanut butter.

If you got so drunk that a mugger noticed and decided to take advantage of that, a lawyer wouldn’t attempt to use your drunkenness to get the mugger off charges.

One reason we get so annoyed about this is because we can follow all these dumb rules and still get raped. I’ve got friends who’ve been raped drunk. I’ve got friends who’ve been raped sober. I’ve got friends who’ve been raped by strangers. I’ve got friends who’ve been raped by friends. People want to set up all these…

Obviously getting helplessly drunk is unsafe for anyone, though often understandable - many people, especially young newer drinkers, do not know their own tolerances. But yes, it’s dangerous, including in and of itself.

Also like... that’s pretty much saying that all men are rapists at heart. Which I do not believe for an instant.

Update: Serena and Venus just won the women’s doubles title as well. Their 6th at Wimbledon and Grand Slam 14th overall (tied for second most of all time).

I was called “oven” by my friends after my kids were born, because that was the extent of my contribution. I feel ya.

Reese and her daughter look gorgeous and make me jealous that none of my kids resemble me in the slightest.

So confused by Reese’s tweet! My brain could not compute that it was two different people. It wanted to believe it was two side by side images of Young Reese and Slightly Less Young Reese.

Ugh, I remember this story and how furious I was about it. I’m ashamed to say I had forgotten about it. I am very glad to get an update that there were at least some consequences. But they aren’t nearly enough.
