I had that same feeling watching the first two episodes of season two of Master of None. Here I am, laying on my couch, mildly depressed about my life, watching some millionaire my age yucking it up in Italy. It's like, on what planet does this relate to me?
They were the best of times, they were the Durst of times.
I will say, for what it's worth, that neither remake were as bad as I expected them to be. Passable in a one-and-done fashion. Nobody can touch Verhoeven though. I will be rewatching RoboCop and Total Recall until the day I die.

Joy Formidable make fantastic guitar rock. Criminally underrated band. Incidentally, I discovered them opening for Foo Fighters back in 2011.
Stacked Actors alone makes it worth hearing. Lots of other great, mellower tracks like Aurora, Headwires and Generator. Not a bad album at all.
They reissued the album with all the b-sides included about ten years back. It's fairly common. You could probably snag it on Amazon for a few bucks.
They re-did it for the X-Files movie soundtrack, but the original version is included on the album proper.
