I’d be more likely to pay the $30.00 if it actually came with some smoked sausages.

I would, if I thought any of the capitalists behind it were actually suffering in any meaningful capacity. The only people who are really suffering are the wage slaves.

Does he have any facial tattoos yet? I’m guessing yes. Our next dad will definitely have several.

When Tom Hanks, America’s Dad is gone, America will get the stepdad it so richly deserves - Kevin Spacey!

First, people should stop making biopics about themselves. Bohemian Rhapsody was a warning sign, Rocketman was all the evidence you needed. People should not sanctify themselves in their lifetime. The cult of celebrity is rampant enough as it is.

Also, what’s up with every scene being between step-siblings or stepmom/stepson and so on? That also wasn’t a thing back in my day.

On one hand it basically killed an industry, but on the other I love amateur porn because of how much it has done to normalise a) non normative bodies, b) non violent sex (at least in general) c) sex where all the parties involved are actually having a lot of fun d) sex where things can get messy, where erections go

The first time I saw it was on one of the original IMAX cinemas in Toronto, built in the 70s. Called the Cinesphere, its in a giant geodesic dome, and the screen is like 80 by 40 ft, and steeply tiered seating. It has this amazing sound baffling, like you’re alone in a soundproof booth, and excellent surround sound.

Do you work for The Atlantic?

Once again, fuck every single person who saw in a movie in a theater this weekend.

I’ll always star an Americans wig reference.

I appreciated that they cleared up the fate of Madelyn’s baby. I wonder if Butcher will ever admit he was willing to blow up a baby (and himself) in a futile attempt to hurt Homelander?

Y’know, I believe in a world where Erin Moriarty’s one of the country’s biggest stars.

Exactly, Rian Johnson gave Finn an arc in TLJ. At the beginning of TLJ, all he cares about is looking after himself and Rey and tying to stay out of the conflict. His whole arc though the movie is learning he cannot avoid picking a side and he must fight against tyranny.

He’s got me when he says they didn’t know how to handle characters of color. I mean, Finn ultimately has no fucking character arc whatsoever. But he loses me when he criticizes TLJ and Rian Johnson while defending Abrams. Because Abrams, by being in charge of the beginning and end is ultimately responsible for the

Same, this was so so much better than Uncut.

I think it says a lot that one of Kricfalusi’s victims encourages people to try to continue enjoying his art.

listen to the roald dahl episode of “dead authors podcast.” ben schwartz is obviously a huge fan of dahl & is so happy playing him...& then the subject of dahl’s anti-semitism comes up...which schwartz did not know about. you can hear his heart break.

Given the way VO usually works I don’t know if they ever spent much time together, but I always felt like being in the same room as Billy West (who is, as far as I know anyway, a perfectly nice guy) and John K. (who is, uh, not) must have been a strange kind of energy.

I wanted to like R&S back in the day, but I just found it really off-putting. It came out when I was 13, and I was definitely the target audience for its type of humor, but I found the animation so unpleasant to look at that I couldn’t deal with it.
