Dont leave batteries on trickle chargers indefinitely. Either get a good maintainer, or leave it disconnected and only hook up the trickle charger occasionally. A battery in good condition and fully charged will hold its charge for months. Leaving it on a trickle charger will actually shorten the life of the battery.
