I thought exactly the same thing.

If it had ended on nuked Earth, I would probably think of it today as the perfect show.

I'd put it's demise at the end of the third season, when they revealed the Final Five, which made no sense, given the characters backstories. They seemed picked for shock value, a little else. I HATE what they did to Tigh and the Chief.

Whoever the Cylon 6-alike is with the Cylon head ... I want to have nice little Cylons with you.

America's been watching a D&D show in the last few years. They just didn't know it.

I learned trigonometry through D&D before I got the class in high school. One has to be able to calculate the height of a pyramid with a dungeon, yo? I ended up with a PhD teaching at a public university. I did alright.

That's okay. That place is a hole - "drop a nuke from orbit" kind.

Buckaroo. Could have been a hell of a series.

Yep. I saw it for the first time 2 days ago. I had never heard of it. Did the marketing let it down?
It's the perfect blend of rock, comics, and video game culture. The third ex killed me. "He punched the highlights out of her hair!!!"

As an Estonian, that flag fraking sucked. It was just a reminder of a six-decade occupation.

Why not? I am.

And that's exactly why I avoided, and continue to avoid, the books. I want to see this series on its own merits, and not go, "but in the books ..."

Trek really, really, really needs to go back to the small screen. The DNA of the show doesn't lend itself very easily to being a big-screen action adventure. The original crew had the gravitas in WRATH OF KHAN to pull off both. This group simply doesn't.

Finland's Lordi gets no love.

I was wondering what happened to the Cylons' last Resurrection Ship.

It's harder to keep it up when you get older.

I found this a hackneyed, boring film, with only 5 minutes of footage that I paid attention to. Your mileage may vary.

I thought this whole thought-piece screamed "need citation".

Chuck lost its mojo when he told Morgan his secret. It was spotty after that; all I remember any more is Col. Casey's call of "Russians. Lots and lot of Russians." I don't even remember who they were fighting at that point.
It was fun for awhile, but yeah, making Casey a spy was the turning point.

It's Robert April.
