Southpark predicted the damn feature
So is he on uppers during this interview or what
I love how their faces kind of collectively freeze as he starts to talk about Ms. Universe having “gained a lot of weight.” Like they’re all thinking “Shut up shut up SHUT UP WHAT ARE YOU DOING.”
Lmfao even the mic is conspiring against him now! What appliances are going #withher next??
He didn’t talk to people of color; he talked about people of color TO white people. His argument was basically “Don’t worry, fellow white folks, I’ll keep these savages in line.” He doesn’t give a fuck about us (which I already knew, because ... facts in evidence).
Upon hearing this I wasn’t surprised that he’d give an idiotic answer like that but at the same time I was in awe at the level of stupidity. It sounded a lot like he was saying “Whites, I’ll make the streets safer for you by taking on this uproar from those who feel disenfranchised”.
Your comment was framed as “good thing I live in NYC, that means I’m safe” because you’d be “scared shitless living in Texas”. It’s good that you feel safe where you live...we’re all happy for you. Just know that people in Texas et al really don’t have to be scared shitless of anything, because they aren’t in any…
Not actually offended (and BTW I live in Boston), just trying to point out the logical fallacy to thinking you were safer in NYC than some other places. Even people living in CO, CT, TX, NC, etc can go about their days without worrying about being in a mass shooting and be completely fine for their whole lives. The…
Didn’t you start off by saying you’d be scared if you lived in North Carolina or Texas but you feel safe because you live in New York (even though someone pointed out stats that show a similar rate of mass shootings)? Come on, now...you know what you were implying.
Yeah. I always thought that, too. I live in the pacific northwest where we generally feel in a safe little bubble. But then the shooting happened outside Seattle last week and that feeling went straight out the window. Ugh. and now I’m remembering the one at the Portland mall a few years ago. No. Nowhere is…
Thank you! I mean, Texas is big, Austin is less gun-happy, and there are a lot of people here. Statistically I assume the odds of something happening to me and my family are slim. On the other hand, this type of thing is particularly scary and I would like to feel like I can exist in public with pretty much NO concern…
I live in Austin and honestly, this one scared me - we’ve had a few in Texas lately and we’re very gun-happy.
Factor in suicides by gun as well. Wonder how many people would still be alive were guns not that ridiculously easy to get.
It looks like NYC area has about as many mass shootings as the entire state of Texas:
