IF that’s the case I’m actually not upgrading for the first time in 10 years. It just doesn’t make any sense to remove something that has become such a big standard on the iPhone and the iPad. I’d take the LCD display any day over losing Touch ID to OLED.
You can hard wire or blutooth a Dot to better speakers. It can essentially be a very inexpensive Sonos Connect.
The speaker on the original Echo is pretty decent. Not amazing, but good enough for most music. The speaker on the Dot is horrible, but it has a 3.5mm jack that you can use to connect it to a much better system.
Canon doesn’t care about mirrorless cameras - they’re more interested in the high end 1D lines. I wish they would get with the program too because I would love a nice Canon mirrorless for travel without my large 6D, but I’m starting to consider just getting a GoPro instead.
