Am I understanding correctly that the reason the current model uses more energy is because users who don’t subscribe to the premium service have to download the video portion of the data when they care only about the audio? That didn’t seem explicit in the article.

Do both services make programming available at the same time? And is that time the same as when the shows are broadcast for the first time? For example, if new Game of Thrones episodes are available to watch via cable at 6:00 p.m. PT on Sundays, are they available to stream at that same time/day?
