What is the etiquette if someone simply doesn't like something and has a fit at a restaurant? We're talking a grown adult here who will "not allow anything green" on her plate. Can't you just tell them to not eat it?

With invitations I usually feel there is a week long grace period (depending on how soon the event is) for you to decide if you are able to attend. And you do not have to accept the invite, you can decline and go on with your life even if you have no prior engagements.
