No snark! I was just throwing in a personal comment. And I really do love etymology, so the more spellings/originations the better.

When I was about 6 years old my parents took my sisters and I out to a fancy dinner to reinforce our manners. I was on my best behavior, so I asked someone to pass the hE - Inz (Heinz) Cats Up (ketchup), and my family still makes fun of me for it.

I love that shit! etymology, that is.

I've faked it til I made it a lot in my life. I have depression and that was my mantra for everything - getting out of bed, going to work, not breaking into tears, trying to be a healthy sexual companion to my partner.

I love eating with my fingers.* My prom date (in 1983), asked me if I ate with my fingers at home. It's just so much more sensual. The feel, the smell, the taste. mmmmmmmmm

Do you mean catsup?

I love tomatoes, but catsup is my least favorite condiment.

That's what mustard is for.

I'm the parent of millenials, and I get pretty sick of hearing about how I've ruined my children. They're both gainfully employed, productive members of society.

I'm old and have had many failed relationships to learn from. Good luck!

This is exactly what I was thinking. Resentment and contempt kill relationships, but in a much more painful, long-suffering way.

Have fun and play safe!

It's not going to get any better. This should be your honeymoon phase.

Bullet dodged!

As the mother of two circumcised boys, I can't wait to hear people tell me my boys will be serial killers because of it. (I was honestly told that here - both my boys are grown adults, with no history of killing)

oops

This also makes me happy.

I'm kinda in the same position now. I've lived in my neighborhood for over 20 years, and I wouldn't be able to afford to buy my house now. Socio-economically I've always fit right in, and I like to think of myself as what my son describes as "the cool old white lady whose lived here forever, not the young white

These two look eerily alike, in a mirror-like way.
