He’s far enough away where you catch all the action in landscape mode rather than portrait. You don’t need to see where the ski lift is coming from, you just need to see the people flying off of it. Landscape would have captured everything, in this instance, your point is invalid.

I work in IT and my favorite thing to do to people who abused their caps lock button was install the Billy Mays caps lock program that disabled caps lock on their computer.
