The Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich has remained virtually unchanged since its introduction, and it has not aged well. Sad to say. I had one a few weeks ago and it is nowhere near the quality of the Popeye’s.

I like this take. It’s not that hard to make a good Chicago Dog. It’s such a codified item. Still shocking how many poor ones I’ve had - either they’re missing the relish, or the wrong bun, or some skinless monstrosity. Airport ones are usually exactly good.
But then how does the salami crisp up? Crisp deli meats are the only way to deli meat a pizza. I think you were trying to be too kind. This looks like something Fry would make on Futurama.
This was my exact idea.
No mention of Dream Whip? I thought it was stupid, but it sure does work for making whipped cream! It’s a powder of (I’m assuming) dried fat you add to milk. It’s not as good as actual whipping cream, but it works well enough for most stuff.
This is why “oh yeah, the graphics are amazing” is not a great argument to get me to play a game. I admire and enjoy excellent graphics and art design, but if the gameplay is broken and the story sucks and the game’s not fun, what’s the point?
More than brand, it’s the cooking. I hate goopy, soft noodles. It’s hard to undercook them just right, but its so much better.
I always weigh my ingredients and it pisses me off when only a few ingredients are given in grams/oz. The tea/tablespoon range, less, so, but there’s such an ease when you can tare and pour.
Someone answered with specifics, but the fries are objectively bad. It’s not a hot take. If they’re hot and you salt them, they’re fine with a burger. But they lack any stamina whatsoever. It’s got nothing to do with them being fresh-cut, either. But fresh is not always a flex.
I don’t think Five Guys’ fries are that great. I’d take fresh Culver’s over either, Five Guys over In-N-Out.
More back up on the Bosch. When we had to get a new dishwasher it was the number one rec we got. We have been happy ever since. The racks are adjustable, there’s a special third rack for spoons on the top, and it CLEANS THE DISHES.
I think that’s In’n’Out’s downfall - refusal to use anything but fresh products. There’s very little (if any) quality loss from freezing blanched fries. It’s why McDonald’s fries are so good. They blanch them properly, freeze them, then they get cooked from that state.
For In/Out to properly fry from fresh would take a…
Got not much to add other than, yeah, finally! Detroit style pies are so good. I think another point in their favor is they are pretty easy to replicate. Traditional round pies aren’t exactly rocket science, but to really get the perfect crust, etc can be like chasing the wind.
I’m mixed here. I love Sam wanting to be the Falcon and not being guilty into being Cap. And I think Bucky becoming Cap would be far, far better for Bucky than for Sam. But I also see the problem with a string of white guys filling the shoes.
I worked with a Hindu group at a camp facility. Every group like clock work would do meals at 8am, Noonish, 530ish. These folks did 8am, noonish, a 4pm tea with some snacks, and the main meal at 8pm.
No, it’s not.
The most unsettling mascots are easily the McNugget buddies. They are the epitome of the mascot-excited-to-be-consumed. They literally jump for joy into your favorite dipping sauce. Somewhere on the cutting room floor is the scene of them being consumed, their cry of pure ecstasy cut short by a young child’s teeth as…
Yeah - I get not wanting it thawed/refrozen more than once, but I’ve never noticed a loss in quality if I froze something and thawed it properly.
Truth! My mom taught me to watch the (8 week?) cycle at the grocery store. Staples go on sale pretty predictably, so buy a bunch of cheese and freeze it!
I got nostalgia tastebuds for canned peas, though. I freaking love them.
