Aquaman and Batman in this remind me a bit of Aquaman and Batman from Batman: The Brave and the Bold, like a less goofy version of that Aquaman, which I am all for. But then, he’s basically ripping off Thor. I mean, I’m cool with that, too, but there it is, if it’s there.

Sounds more like a teaser concept than a scene from a movie.

Absolutely agree. Anansi Boys is his best novel, Imo. I think he’s awkward with overtly sexual material and good with understated violence. Anansi Boys also lacks the polished cleverness of some of his later work.

I love Real Steel. I think it was uneven in tone, but I fall for the shadow boxing at the end every time. I’ll probably catch flak, but I think if Disney had made it, it would have turned out even better.

This movie is hilarious. Every line is quote worthy. I love it. They even nail the big moment at the end with the Barcalounger ball.

I’d love to see something wild with the new Doctor. A series of unrelated, alternate specials with a different person playing the Doctor in each - yeah, I know it’ll never happen. But it would be so fun to have a year of unrelated specials solely to get stunt-casting out of our systems. It would be easier to

I’m happy to see a Smurfs movie that’s wholly animated.

When he’s “shadow boxing? Zeus? Heartfelt.

You aren’t alone - I LOVE this movie. I felt the tone was a little uneven, but loved pretty much everything about it.

I like a movie that displays a knowledge of its trappings. Like this movie. It’s gonna be pretty damn fun.

I’ve said many times the problem with modern parody is the reboots deconstruct the tropes just as well as the parodies. They poke fun at the clichéd (rred shirt in star trek ‘09) just as well as any parody.

This is fantastic - thanks for sharing!

Yes. Frank N Furter is this omnisexual buff man dressed in woman’s clothing, not a feminine transexual. I don’t know if that makes sense - Lavern Cox did a good job, but she wasn’t frightening either like Tim Curry seemed in the movie. I didn’t find this cast altogether very strong.

The Black Pearl is a grand romp, but I remember expectations were low. I think that helped it a bit.

That’s a strong rebuttal, but I’m going with Superman.

There is a sharpening attachment available for drills that I use. It has a plastic guide for the dull side and is an angled stone for the sharp side. Works really well.

I wish they’d option Mr Mercedes. That’d be sell.

My favorite is easily 6. IV, I’ll watch if it’s on, because I like it. But VI, something about it really does it for me cinematically speaking.

I like Search for Spock, but it’s not one I go looking for. It’s got a kind of “well, shoot, we killed Spock - we’ve got to figure out how to bring him back” conceit behind the scenes for me. Although, it does have some poignant stuff. I don’t think it’s considered a poor entry, just not amazing.

Final Frontier had the trio front and center - I think in a way the other movies didn’t.
