The comics explanation is he reflects his heat vision off a shard of his baby ship to shave. I don’t think we’ve seen this on screen, though!

I like the Superman costume, especially the way the cape is attached. This Superman looks like he’ll actually enjoy being Superman, which is a critical part of the character, IMO. Still wish they would go whole hog on a costume redesign - I’ve always liked the Aaron Diaz ideas - but no one is going to listen to a

It was visually beautiful, but I also found it underwhelming. My favorite Laika is ParaNorman, and I loved Box Trolls and Coraline. We went into this expecting way more.

I think The Question would be a pretty good procedural TV show, especially as Renee Montoya. A lot of it would be left out, but the basic idea of a faceless detective helping the police would be pretty easy to make.

It looks like it to me - I wish Brave and the Bold had lasted longer.

That song and “Go the Distance” are two of my top Disney songs. I love Hercules, and I didn’t see it until my twenties. I had to get past the bonkers interpretation of Greek Mythology, but it works really well for me. There’s not much wasted time, I genuinely love it.

What kind of milquetoast nonsense is this? Are you embarrassed to be a Sci fi fan? Good lord, Fifth Element is ostensibly considered a classic of the genre! We could debate film quality, and waste our time, or consider the quality in a film that does exactly what it sets out to do.

I tend to zone out during the opera. Despite that, this movie is amazing.

I didn’t feel like the End of All Things wrapped up the story very well, to be honest. I liked The Last Colony’s ending more. Zoe’s Tale is the same story as Last Colony, but from Zoe’s perspective. I liked it all right.

I managed to get through it - but I agree with you on Rick. Just the constant spatter on his chin and the incessant belching. It’s overkill. I managed to tune it out after awhile, but I begrudge no one who quit watching due to that.

I don’t care what anyone says, I’m going to see this and I think I’m going to like it. Chris Hemsworth looks great, I’m sure there’s going to be some groaners in the script, but oh well! I mean, the biggest problem is it will be compared to the original, which really was a great movie. This looks funny and

Boom. I was very hopeful they’d have Supergirl be the only Superperson - I realize a major part of the comic story is that she’s Superman’s cousin and she came second, but since he can’t really be around, why have him? It’s not that far a stretch to have her called Supergirl by the media just as is. Keep the rest of

“Robocop?” That’s unfair to typecast him for one role, man. He’s a talented, versatile actor. It’s shameful to refer to Buckaroo Banzai like that.

Same here. Saw 22 Jump Street first, actually. Could not believe how funny it was. Tatum and Hill are amazing together. I can’t imagine this movie being n0t-funny at the worst. It’s so ludicrous I can’t believe anyone going in thinking it’s going to be life-changing.

A period-piece Nightmare on Elm Street could be pretty good. They’d probably have to play it straight and keep down the anachronisms, but I think it would work pretty well.

Sounds like there will a Crisis on infinite Pee-Wees.

I think this is pretty solid casting. The invisible man is pretty misanthropic - reminds me of the less flamboyant Depp.

That’s true. Who could stand up to that? I guess I found it the most distracting - oh, that’s Christopher Walken! I’m pretty optimistic for this movie anyway.

I like this trailer. The teaser seemed really off, like they couldn’t find a good tone. I think I’ll really like this movie, though. I do think Walken was a poor choice for King Louie, but his was the only voice I found distracting.

Any teacher would love it. We get points so we can get free books for the room.
