The way DC treated that character was depressing. And they made such cool choices at first - I thought it was pretty fun that she became Robin for a while, and then Batgirl. But, whatever.

I actually enjoy this movie, but your post made me realize how I’ll often go do something else during the flashback sequences. The “kid Grinch” scenes are fairly unnecessary, as is the silly subplot. But that’s what happens when you turn a short children’s book into a feature.

To me, Lego Dimensions is the clear winner, though I haven’t played Disney Infinity. My son has been into SkyLanders and it is too, too much. Each time there’s a new game, it’s a new collectible - hitting a nadir with the trap team last year. Unreal, between the trapmasters and traps, and the Kaos trap. The level

Given McConaughey’s recent work, I think he’d male a good Roland, though a tad young. Woody Harrelson would be an appropriate antagonist.

Me, too. It’s so frustrating.

Caught my dad using a phone card with his cell phone a few years ago

I’d rather see Martin Freeman in this role, frankly, I think it needs a less esoteric person to juxtapose against the insane action.

As far as processed lab food - if I understand how it’s grown properly, it’s less processed than a lot of boxed stuff on the shelves. It’s a fairly elaborate process, but it’s basically turning energy and nutrients into digestible protein that is basically beef.

Yeah, put that way I agree. It would be unbelievable to sit and watch real life dinosaurs. It’s hard enough to believe they once ruled the earth at times.

I know Davies had that scene with the untempered schism an all, but I wish the story of the Doctor was that he was basically a normal Gallifreyan, was remanded to non-Time Lord, but managed to steal an out-of-date TARDIS and through travel became imbued with Time Lord power after all. Maybe the Master was his best

I think some people are thinking about all of Pratchett’s ouvre here, and while a large chunk might not be enduring, his very best stuff is some of the best stuff I’ve read, period. That period from Feet of Clay to around Thud! was excellent, with The Truth, Thief of Time, and Night Watch really bringing it.

This was my question, and I’m just pleased as punch there’s a quality discussion.

Like the owls on Futurama!

My kids love it.

Gotta have that gritty reboot. The DeLorean’s not the time machine Hill Valley deserves and all that.

The season premier is probably going to address most of the lingering questions over the finale. That vortex that opened over Central City was totally caused by Thawne’s evaporation and is the result of the paradoxes created by him not existing. I suspect some Rip Hunter shenanigans in that episode, but who knows?

For some reason, that really appeals to me - especially if Peter is almost wholly in a “mentor” role and not Spider-manning around on his own. I was never a fan of One More Day and I love Mayday Parker and I love Miles Morales - and I think it’d offer some cool stories. A more lighthearted take on the “Batman Beyond”

Are people being purposefully obtuse? They making the book into thirteen episodes, they are taking the two main characters and having them try new things each episode. It sounds a lot like the current Cat in the Hat show on PBS.

Ah, Jesus. Now I desperately want a Brad Bird helmed Superman movie. I’ll settle for Iron Giant, I guess.
