Khan is barely a villain in STID. He was set up as a sympathetic villain with is main concern for his frozen crew - and then he went apeshit for, what? The convenience of the plot and so they could do the mirror image "Ship out of Danger" nonsense. (What a terrible, backfiring bit of fan service that was)

Bah, I say, bah. As previously stated the X-Men work best in their X-context of X-problems. A couple cameos are okay but I see little point in the FF (the most beloved of humanity) meeting the X-Men (hapless rejects of humanity!) Personally, I prefer X-Men. The FF can be good but usually are boring, even with the

I want the craziest scenery-chewing Doom ever put to the screen. The other day I was thinking how awesome it would be to watch a live-action Squirrel Girl vs Doctor Doom show - all I really got from it mentally was that Dr. Doom should talk like Brian Blessed.

I wholly agree. X-Men works best in it's own little X-bubble. There's been a few decent bits of business - I enjoyed Wolverine in the New Avengers - but they really do their own thing most of the time. Even Spider-Man is off on his own most of the time. I suppose that's true for most solo books, but Spider-Man had

I've always been a big fan of Boston Legal - most of the 4th wall breakage would occur in the opening and reference the credits, but there were often subtle acknowledgements throughout the series that it was a TV show.

I know I'm late to the conversation, but I loved the hell out of this movie. It was so well done - if you're the type of person who judges a movie based on what the movie is trying to accomplish, you would love this picture. I caught the Imax 3d and am normally not a fan of 3d, but that shit was INSANE. I was

I was really interested in this article, but got very turned off by the cursing in item 3.

Oldest foe and dearest friend.

Oh yeah, I thought this was going to be ridiculous and it took me a long time before catching a rerun and loving it. Joy is the key word, I think - this show is all about keeping the tongue in the cheek and winking at the audience when possible.

Wait - if most hypotheses are negative, wouldn't "Probably not" work for most any abstract? We've been wasting our lives!

No mention of Vin Diesel's already excellent performance as a friendly robot? Post a pic here and win a no-prize!

There's far more series I couldn't even get started with - Game of Thrones, Wheel of Time. Tried the first book in each and could not get invested. I also feel like I'm slogging through Return of the King. I've been 'reading' it for almost six months now.

When you finally realize it's okay to walk out on a movie, I think you gain maturity XP or something.

I blazed through the first three seasons of Smallville, and kept up sporadically through season 7. I don't think I actually watched any of the two penultimate seasons, but watched the entire tenth season.

The two things that stick out most are this made-for-TV movie about the Bogeyman or something like that - it was a Disney TV movie, that's all I remember.

Oh no! This scene gave me the worst nightmares for years!

That'd be pretty cool.

Underscored by the release of Preludes and Nocturnes after The Doll's House trade came. You're right on point about aping Moore's style - Gaiman was fairly successful with the Miracleman character without aping Moore.

I think a real strength of a TV project would be Gaiman looking at the whole beast and fixing some of the uneven tone at the start. I would argue you could do a movie series based on Sandman, but it would HAVE to be a series.
