They missed out on big stuff. Design, space, infotainment interface, build quality. And if BMW/Audi can’t compete with the S Class Cadillac doesn’t have a chance in hell.

I disagree, slightly. Cadillac’s problem is that there is no logical reason to pick their vehicle over a BMW, Lexus, or MB as they are at the same price point.
I’d fix Cadillac by making it a more stand-alone brand. The Escalade is a huge hit, and I’d imagine it’d be even more so if you brought it further from “gussied up Tahoe” and closer to something more unique like Land Rover. Up the prices a bit. Do that with all Cadillac models.
I think your argument is only true as long as nobody builds electric bikes that people can truly feel passionate about. Aside from the side-effects (noise, smell, and vibration,) people like motorcycles because of the riding experience, and their growing bank of positive memories from previous experiences. But I…
Electric motorcycles have been and always will be appliances.
it would at least signal what consumers are getting in a more easily identifiable way.
As a long time GMer, I’m so done with the fucking excuses and mismanagement and hollow vapid ra-ra quotes that don’t amount to shit. Always late to the party and looks as if they just got dressed. The worst kind of late. If you’re gonna be late, at least make an entrance. Have the room entranced. Cadillac does neither.
I feel like they’d be hard-pressed to have made this more wrong for their market or any market if they tried.
It’s gone through refreshing and can be had with a V8. It’s not hard to sell.
Enthusiast car sure. But Camry or Corolla? You’ve already given up, how it drives is of no importance.
I wish all new SUVs were this great. I’m just so sick of looking at all the huge, overweight, stupidly expensive, ridiculously complex, boring, and ugly SUVs we have now.
A hotel room costs around $250-$300 per night. They can’t use any of that money to clean the room?
Which is the absurd part to me. It is far more absurd than tipping at restaurants (which has its faults as well) because they are literally just doing their job and can’t really provide you better service. We are all aware of a good server in a restaurant vs a bad one, I can’t say I ever really know the difference…
I think there’s a way forward, but HD is going to have to make some serious changes to not only the parent company’s way of thinking about bikes, but their dealership structures as well.
Thank you, the people riding around on Harley’s just strike me as the biggest pricks, seriously Boomer I see you on your bike no need to rev the throttle and burst my ear drums. Full disclosure I’m Gen X, but I agree with you 100%.
Another thing us “millennials” (love how that’s Become a derogatory term) dislike about Harley’s: They’re fucking loud and obnoxious. I get it, I get it. “Gotta be loud so you can hear me coming!” Really? Because I can hear the crotch rocket coming up behind me just fine, and I don’t feel his exhaust note in my ball…
I also enjoy the sound of an electric motor.
Probably just a single-speed/ direct drive. Electric motors have a wide enough power band to not need a multi-speed trans most of the time.
Having ridden one of their prototypes back in 2014, the ergonomics are actually ok. I recall the pegs being maybe a touch too forward for my taste, but the rider triangle was relatively roomy. The torque is definitely really fun and the ability on the prototypes to switch between multiple amounts of regen braking…
