Man I love reading your stuff, but that is atrocious.

I’m more concerned about those absurdly narrow garage doors. Maybe the architect made the house specifically for a family a clowns?

Also, why do people put “My loss is your gain” so often? Surely it can’t be helpful.

Well dang, you’re absolutely right.

I guess they’re trying to get this in before the Ford Maverick comes out? Poor VW... won’t even be close to most affordable then.

2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins. 451k miles and still going strong! Had to replace a few things and have transmission work (use to tow often) but good other than that!

Edit: I guess this counts, too-
2008 Mazda3 2.5L at 280k miles. Only engine component replaced: alternator

Yup. I’m not sure what your point is.

That’s why I mentioned it?

The fact that $30k is less than the average new price truly astounds me. I struggle to understand how anyone could afford that much - the most I’ve ever spent is $15k out the door and that’s stretching it.

All that said, I teach in a low paying state, have several kids, and my wife has an illness that keeps her from

Average starting pay in my state is $32k/year before taxes. I’ve been teaching for about a decade and still make less than $50k. That’s with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ed.S. I can see it with your example though.

That said, teaching is NOT a 3/4 time job.

How on Earth do two teachers have a budget of $30k?! I need to teach wherever they do, apparently.

Dang, and the F-150 already sells well - I think they’ve got another hit on their hands.

Just wanna jump on the “Woo! Not a slideshow!” bandwagon.

I don’t feel bad for her at all.

Same. I really appreciate this article!

Firstly, they are some of the ugliest vehicles on the road (totally subjective I know, but I truly don’t understand how people think they’re attractive).

A what?

For some reason, the thought of not being trusted to pump my own gasoline safely makes me super defensive and angry. I know it’s probably irrational and I don’t care. When I know I’ll be traveling through NJ, I always fill up so I don’t have to get gas there.

Also, I’d love to see their data on how pumping gas

Just a quick note about the “flaccid” top - I doubt it has failed at all.
With these tops, the bar that holds up the back folds (for closing) and back (for opening). The only thing that holds it back is friction between the top and the bar. All this is to say that the bar has probably just fallen forward.

Yep, like 20ish years ago IIRC

I really loved Fable II. It’s probably one of my all-time favorites.
