I totally agree I’m disgusted and tired of it as well. I come to read about science, technology, and scifi/fantasy (this type of thing has invaded io9 as well), not a political blog. My apologies to Maddie if I’m wrong. I sit on pins and needles for her to jump into the comments and clarify what collective nightmare her and her Gawker friends are constantly speaking of.

It’s pretty clear what it’s about. Even as someone who was horrified personally about the election, at some point you have to move past letting it affect every little part of your life negatively, and start acting proactively in ways that do matter.

I do, the writer of this article doesnt seem to realize that...hence my comments on the article.

I get that politics will come into the science/tech news often and it should (net neutrality as an example, or NASA funding) but starting every article about some imaginary collective nightmare…
