Disneyland is going to reopen? That’s the bigger news item here! 

Digital The Dude” was my favorite part of that film.

I’m going to reserve judgement until I find out whether Daft Punk is doing the soundtrack again.

More importantly, when can I pay $200+ for this at Disneyland?

That is, unfortunately, my far bigger concern.

Being a big fan of the first two , Jared Leto is a small price to pay to get to see a third.

I would love to hear what Carrie would have said. Probably a vibrator joke. I miss her.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the Kelvin cast again, as long as they chose to another episodic style adventure like Beyond, though they really really need to lower the stakes. I’d like them to take a chance on a wild story idea like Voyage Home (without copying that plot).

The focus should always be on Scooby, solving mysteries, and slurping whipped cream off his face with his own tongue. Stop trying to give depth to his peasant supporting characters.

The only “canon” in Scooby-Doo is what was established in the original series. Literally everything else is at the whims of the staff and execs, which is why the group go from adults in the late 90's/early 00's back to teenagers in the 10's (despite it all being in the same continuity) and why their parents are

American propaganda is all about the John-Wayne lone-ranger underdog being the only-sane-man fighting against an unjust gang or system that is much bigger than him, and ultimately coming out on top because he’s a badass who portrays American ideals. (Though in reality, this is VERY much frowned upon.)

He makes a good point. It’s always worth it to learn more about the creative aspects of other cultures. More understanding is always going to be better than less, no matter what you think of the subject of your learning.

I wonder if it might not be the themes of rebellion and resisting unjust authority that cause Star Wars to not catch on in China. These are themes that resonate strongly with American audiences, where individualism and rebellious attitude are a large part of the culture. Maybe the more group-oriented Chinese culture
