Here's the thing, though: 1) Bedelia's coldness and detachment could actually help some patients who need that to get their minds together. 2) Hannibal's male tenderness would ALSO help many patients get their mind together. It depends on the person.

Hannibal's taste is so uber hipster it's not even funny. It takes a lifetime and careful avoidance of certain parts of pop culture to have such specified tastes. And weirdly, it takes wealth to avoid using a cell phone.
