I think it was in two possible ways:
1. To feel morally vindicated when he inevitably does horrible things.
2. That it's certainly - theoretically - possible that "delusional, cruel, stupid, amoral, greedy, and megalomaniacal" turn out to be the qualities you really need to lead the country to previously unimagined

"Yeah, he said a lot of crazy, racist, impossible, stupid, horrifying shit - but that was just saying anything at any given moment to get elected! I'm sure that once I've helped elect him in, he'll get serious and rational."

It really wasn't, although it's almost worth it for the thoroughly bad-ass moment of, "You beat death, Sloane. But you couldn't beat me."

I love Thursdays. The difficulty fits the kind of narrow window of time I usually have in the morning, but it's also the one that usually has the visual element, where you feel like you're going crazy because you KNOW THE ANSWER, and then realize you have to do something like leave the box blank to mean the word
