Seems to be used as more of the middle phase of adulthood, rather than a numerical midpoint - with a common range of 45 - 65. So, <18 (before adulthood), young adulthood, middle adulthood, old age (with no catchy adulthood name).
Wow, this article made me feel frustrated and I don’t even have this problem. My phone notifies me of messages from people I know and phone calls via sounds/vibrations/watch taps. Email, app updates and a couple of others are on screen numbers (not pop ups) only.

Maybe if these women don’t want their sons accused of assault, then maybe their sons shouldn’t go to parties, shouldn’t drink, shouldn’t talk to women, and shouldn’t go around just existing as a male. So, basically what women are expected to do to avoid assault.
Which means, if that’s the new standard, no man will ever qualify for the Supreme Court again
