Same. Much love to you.

As a majority of normal Americans understand it, a D&C is not an abortion because an abortion is generally considered, by a majority of people who are neither online freakazoid losers nor forced birth evangelical zealots, to be the voluntary termination of a viable pregnancy, something that most of said normal people

Honestly, I wasn’t aware that a D&C was an abortion when I miscarried. I only learned it after extensively (seriously, it didn’t come right up) Googling during the first round of abortion bans. I am staunchly pro-choice, but this article just feels a little off.

Omfg y’all, it can be both. The medical procedure she had was an abortion, which was necessary because she had a miscarriage. Spoken as someone who has had two “missed miscarriages”, both of which required medical care (abortion procedures) to deal with, the way some people are crowing about how hypocritical she is

She had a miscarriage. She had a D&C. She’s not hiding behind twisted words or “framing” it. She’s talking about it the same way thousands of other women talk about their pregnancy loss, and she should be allowed to without shame. For me, I often use my miscarriage experience to argue for why abortion access is

I mean...I kind of agree with her? Influencers get a lotta shit for something that is a bit complicated and involves a lot of work. As non-celebrity celebrities though, they often downplay or are ignorant of how far their influence goes, that part to me makes them annoying.

Am I wrong in being extremely weird out about how the article brushes off Amy Heckerling actions? I mean all this criticism of Lorne Michaels is more than valid and he should be call out about it but the article kinds of skips over that all that Kattan alleges happened, did so because Heckerling propositioned him and

It’s especially disgusting with US removing funding for all family planning clinics in developing countries that mention abortion. Also in conflict areas where rape is so prevalent.

Quite frankly, I am sick and tired of babies being automatically associated with women. It’s bad enough our careers suffer because we’re the primary care givers when kids get sick.

I don’t feel bad for the snake at all. Not because I’m afraid of snakes, I’m not. I think snakes are cool, but because

I have a question - why was there a breeding facility for this snake? Legal or was it illegal (suggesting a black market for non-indigenous snakes)

so are you saying something shouldn’t be considered a “safe” ingredient if it causes a reaction in a small percentage of people? Peanuts can literally kill people, yet recipes containing peanuts receive nowhere near the backlash MSG does.

But, if you go into STEM money will just rain from the sky, right? That’s what my relatives assume when I mention I make basically nothing at a public Uni.

Also, have any of them had to waste the majority of their day on committees? Because that’s what my PI lamented about most of all.

My friend from (American) High school now has a bit of a British accent, despite moving back to the US after a decade in the UK. She’s not putting it on, it gets thicker when she’s stressed.

Yeah that’s how it’s supposed to work but my point was that it could easily not work like that and most end-users would have no idea. They have to be listening all the time specifically for the wake word/phrase so there’s no possibility to never listen without disabling that functionality and they have to be able to

You are skipping the best sounding and easiest option. Bluetooth receiver attached to an actual stereo system. The BT recievers are cheep, $20-$40 if I remember correctly. You just add them to the aux in or cd in ports on your amp and connect your phone to the BT. If you care about the audio quality of your music,

Bohnanza - easy to learn, impossible to master, and I have yet to meet somebody who hasn’t had a blast playing this (inexpensive!) card-based bean farming game.

Settlers of Catan. It’s fun, the games don’t last forever, and my kids stay interested (ages 8 and 10).  Main game is for up to 4 people, but there’s an expansion to allow 5-6 to play.

Very cute pup, but the reflection in the ornaments give too much away.

I know this is a corny ass comment but for my tree in my home i like the ornaments we’ve collected over the years, the tacky ornaments the kids made at school, and a few simple strands of white lights. I don’t need my tree to have a “theme” or look like a holiday display in the lobby of Macy’s.
