Fascinating story. I always wondered how Canadians received runaway slaves. I don’t know much about Canada but I’m surprised there isn’t a thriving sub-culture ala New Orleans of black Canadians with ties to American slavery. Again, it may exist and I just don’t know enough.

No weird formats or excessively large fonts either. It’s an immediate turn-off that sends you to the bottom of the pile, and I can’t imagine it works well when being fed into HR software programs either (you know, the ones that ignore your experience because you used the wrong buzzwords.)
