Oof, I was a pretty devoted Hillary apologist before the election, but I can’t get behind that.

So the thing is, before Sessions recused himself, he was taking ton of heat and it was looking like he might be in legal hot water. Trump wanted Sessions to just twist in the wind and take the fall like a good little lackey. By recusing himself, Sessions took himself out of the firing line (for the moment). That’s why…
No kidding. If he thinks Sessions is insufficiently loyal to Trump and his personal brand of evil, then I can’t imagine what he thinks true loyalty looks like. We’re talking about a committed, devoted racist here. How much more racist does Jeff have to be to earn your trust, Donald?
I bet Saul Goodman is available.
It appears that the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University is driving this train, so I don’t know that donations are needed at this point.
Oh, this is too delicious. If Sessions bails out, then Rod Rosenstein becomes Acting Attorney General.
What’s sad is that he doesn’t actually appear to be learning those things. He should be, but he remains stubbornly ignorant.
Is Ken O’Brien still the QB? That’d be the last time I watched a Jets game willingly.
Some Twitter users are threatening to sue Trump for blocking them:
This is music to my ears.
In this case I think we’re both right. Choosing Warren would’ve meant more enthusiasm from the Democratic base, plus more overt antipathy from the right, thereby scaring centrists away from Trump. It was a win-win.
If we were still on Planet Earth, then yes. But we left Earth a few months back.
Oh, well done. I salute you.
I argued extensively that it would’ve happened if Hillary had chosen Warren as her running mate. A woman leading the ticket had the right-wing mouth-breathers infuriated, but they still tried to obscure their true motives. TWO WOMEN would’ve driven them over the edge. Instead we got a nothingburger in Tim Kaine, the…
There aren’t as many good public servants as there should be, but when you find one, you treasure them.
“I’m a businessman-turned-politician, and you should vote for me because all those career politicians are totally corrupt. How do I know that they’re corrupt? Why, I’m the one who corrupted them!”
The two are far from mutually exclusive. In fact, I’d say they’re closely correlated. It’s the incompetent who must resort to corruption to achieve their aims.
I didn’t say they’re all corrupt. I said they’re to be presumed corrupt until proven otherwise. The two City Council members who voted against this nonsense in Detroit have provided solid evidence that they might not be corrupt. We need to see more of that.
Hawk Harrelson claiming that Yaz could hit a 6-run homer. Some things never change ...
Anyone who pursues and achieves a prominent elected position is to be presumed corrupt until proven otherwise.
