Perhaps incrementally less racist than those who came before, if they were averse to acquiring black talent.

You’re cherry picking one half of a sentence of a multi-sentence post and ignoring that it was just an element of a wider point.
I guess you were in a more paranoid circle than I was. My parents had to do “duck-and-cover” drills in the 1950s, but that was long over in my area by the 80s.
Not only that, it was a Pulitzer-prize winning novel before it was a movie. I try not to be a book snob, but in this case it’s warranted.
Not only does Trump want more of them, he wants to use them. He’s itching for an excuse to nuke something.
Are you asking because you actually want me to respond, or are you just trying to demonstrate your superior knowledge of How The World Works, and trying to phrase it in such a way that obscures that intent? I think the word “honestly” in your question wasn’t very honest after all.
Without knowing how the order was wrong, it’s tough to judge. I know people who order in such a convoluted fashion that I end up having to translate for the waiter. “When she said she wanted ‘not ketchup’, she meant ketchup on the side.”
“I specifically asked for 3.7 ounces of butter lettuce, and this is 3.7002 ounces! Are you TRYING to destroy my career!”
I think a microwave is a mini Faraday cage, you could hide a radio inside one.
Technically, none of the Indiana Jones movies needed to be made. So I’m not sure why that’s relevant.

I think the graphic presumes that this is the immediate aftermath of the blast wave and the structure has survived.
It’s more watchable than Temple of Doom, which has sections I actively hate, but also more forgettable. Both are vastly inferior to Raiders and Last Crusade.
Was it hard to write this, Patrick? It was kinda tough to read - not in terms of the quality of the writing, which is quite good, but the feelings that emerged. I thought our parents and grandparents would be the last generations to need this kind of info.
I think it’s more clowning on baseball reporting in general than the White Sox themselves. The fact that you can go into such minutiae on any team is kind of fascinating in and of itself. Also, I think Marchman is legitimately a White Sox fan.
I mean, Chicago’s a pretty big city. Only makes sense to give some coverage to the MLB team there.
Is this that paid protester gig I’ve been hearing about?
I’d like to see an analysis on the potential return on a midseason Miguel Gonzalez trade to a contender, assuming he performs to his career norms. I’m thinking a couple low-A arms wouldn’t be out of the question, or maybe a fringey outfielder who’ll sustain a serious injury the instant he plays an inning at Guaranteed…
So what’s stopping the Sox from signing Rodon to a similar deal?
