Sigh... ok once again.
Sigh... ok once again.
No it is not wild speculation. We had confirmation from Nurburgring officials that Tesla had not contacted them about track time. Either for testing or to set a record prior to the cars landing in Germany. That alone is enough to say that this was done on a whim as manufacturers typically book track time months in…
I consider us a news and opinion website, with stories that run the gamut from 6,000 word investigative pieces to other stuff. We do a mix of original reporting, aggregation and commentary here, often in the same stories. You are welcome to agree or disagree with what we do and say in the comments.
No my article was not particularly flattering towards Tesla. Musk did this attempt on a whim and that is simply the wrong way to go about things. Especially things with this level of risk.
This seems to remind me of the Allard J2X of the early to mid 1950s.
Unpopular opinion: I’ve never really cared about supercars. None of them. Even as a kid. The closest would be a gen 1 NSX or S4 Lotus Esprit, but those really aren’t supercars.
Tesla offered their interface as a standard. Competitors refused, thinking it would allow Tesla a competitive advantage.
The average American commute is a total of 32 miles per day.
I wish people would stop pretending like they need more range. Hell, 100 miles on battery is more than enough for 90% of Americans’ daily use.
I’m increasingly convinced they did it to cover for the Focus transmission problems. Mondeo (Fusion) has gotten too big for Europe, which undercuts the global argument for that car, and indeed there’s been rumors of Mondeo getting axed too. Fiesta didn’t sell here, and Taurus didn’t do well either. And Ford needs the…
This isn’t the first time a dealer in Ohio has ordered a batch of cars to commemorate an NFL Team.
I disagree. I see them more as the Alfa Romeo of the NFL.
Kia started out building cheap cars that were pretty awful. Now, however, they’re building very good cars that are desirable and, dare I say, interesting.
The Cleveland Browns history is not that.
I like the idea of doing the Bachelorette, but with picking a car. So the contestant is trying to pick a car, and she starts the show with 20 cars, each represented by a “bachelor” who is the most obnoxious fanboy of that car imaginable. And each of them take her on activities trying to show her that their car is…
Probably the 1st gen water cooled turbo Porsche.
The later 915s like in this car are plenty stout. The 930's 4-speed was basically a modified 915 transmission, anyway.
I agree 100%. I actually drove a real 930 over the weekend. It was a 1979 that was on the market for $120K. To be honest, the thought of actually owning one terrified me not from the driving experience but the IT was worth more than my first house mind set. To me this is almost perfect (I’d lose the billboard turbo…
The fact this isn’t a real 930 is its best quality. Hear me out: I’m a guy that likes to drive a car more than look at it under glass. Here’s one of these you can drive like crazy and not be financially terrified (even while you are white knuckled, laggy turbo snap-oversteer terrified). The engine swap is no big deal…
I’m voting CP mostly because I hate the current Porsche market. I'm just angry I didn’t buy a Porsche while they were cheap.
Less of a “project” in that everything is basically plug and play. Parts on 911s mostly swap right over. This isn’t LS swapped 2CV or anything.
This is a toughie. Always wanted one of these, for the sheer “will I survive it” aspect of owning one.
