I think the big reason for the high price on the ICE is 4X4 crew cab. A 2 wheel drive, standard cab F150 is less, but is not comparable to the Lightning due to the features / configuration.

Check out Ronin - new story from the original team.

I passed on one of these for $500 in better shape. $3,000 is 924 Turbo or 924S money. Heck, you might find a 944 for $3K.

He did the same thing with the Sunbeam Tiger, but did not build them, just did engineering.

Figure out the monthly payment for the one you want. Put that aside for 2-3 months and see how much it impacts your day to day life. Maybe do that for a few more months, just to be sure it is doable. Then buy the car if you want it.

The v8’s has barely any more power than the v6.

I’m in Ohio and we have ev chargers pretty much everywhere.

Go, today, to the DMV and do the trivial things that need done. Get them out of the way, otherwise they will bite you on the 31st.

But the main wing spars for the B-52 were formed using a press that was destroyed years ago. There is not currently a capability to create those spars again. If those fail, the plane is done.

I am not a coastal american, and I disagree with your sentiment. 90% of my driving would be fine with a 125 mile range. There is only an occasional need for a long road trip. There is something rotten in the hydraulic lifter supply chain. Uncle Tony’s garage had two sets of brand new hydraulic lifters fail in the same engine.

Looks like a replacement driver side front fender?

Not necessarily. Look at Crown Cork and seal as an example. As everyone in their market went after new business lines, due to declining sales in cork and seals, Crown stayed the course and became the only supplier of their item. Profits stayed high, volume stayed steady.

My 911 and my Subaru Outback. Pretty different. Both water cooled flat engines.

I could see this as a new Lincoln LSC.

I love how everyone thinks they are joking, meanwhile Nike is mining the thread for new product features.

Imagine in 2002 if GM announced an fuel cell electric car, built on the skateboard, and an ambitious plan to build a charging network across the country. First, Ford would object that GM should not own both the charging network and the manufacturing of the car. Then the dealer network would rebel on the idea of a

Maybe do RallyCross? That looks like a ton of fun for $15K.

I’m showing Chevy as selling 1.9 million in 2019 to Nissan’s 1.1 million. I think I am looking at worldwide data, not just US. Could you elaborate more on your comment about Nissan selling more than Chevy?

Everything after the win was a downer. Shelby and Ford separated, Shelby stopped making Cobras and Mustangs. 1970’s had reduced horsepower. Shelby closed up shop and moved to South America. Ford stopped racing at LeMans. Just a ton of downers.
