I think it’s just that he plays for one of the most anonymous teams in baseball. This team has Ohtani and Mike Trout and nobody cares. And they’re doing well! They’re 16-8, as you might expect from a team with Ohtani and Mike Trout. And absolutely nobody cares.

Butthurt right wingnuts are gonna be butthurt.

This is such a big story I know but I swear it should be an even bigger story. What this guy is doing is insane. When you are 10-years-old and you fantasize about playing MLB, this is how you imagine it, a great pitcher who hits so well they have to let you do that too.

Counterpoint: Barbara Bush was a terrible person, fuck her and anyone asking anyone to stay quiet about the fact.

It’s all apart of this idea that for some reason we’re not allowed to call out old presidents and first ladies for being bad people. Like god forbid someone calls George and Martha Washington Racists when they literally owned slaves, or the Reagans homophobes when he did literally nothing about the aids crisis.

Show me the lie.

Right?!!! The DNC is good at campaigning as this pigeon is at flying

What do you think the conversation around that decision was like?

I read that complaint and my only thought was: “they can’t help themselves. They are addicted to failure.”

Can’t wait to see how the Dems botch this. The DNC suit against Trump and his campaign is a good start, but I expect some much more creative and surprising way to shoot themselves in the foot.

The Press is always silent to someone who can’t read.

This is a pitcher watching his soul leave the stadium along with the baseball.

I’ve watched all of chef’s table and generally liked it, but Jesus Christ, do those people take themselves way too seriously. There’s a total lack of self awareness. You make good food for rich people, calm the fuck down.

The Dan Barber episode had a food critic speaking like Obi-Wan Kenobi while describing a carrot as “more carrot than any carrot.”

If you watch the British version of Kitchen Nightmares, it’s starkly different. Ramsay’s still sarcastic and has a biting sense of humor but he’s also often kind, enthusiastic about food and seems to genuinely care whether the restaurants live or die.

Yvan eht Nioj!

As someone who grew up in the business, has chefs in the family, and has worked with a lot of chefs over the years, I never once bothered to watch this prick continue to perpetuate the mythos of the Angry Chef. Kitchens are, generally speaking, a better environment to work in than they used to be—but that’s not a
