What are you talking about. This is the character arc of every Marvel movie and everybody loves them.

What was “pseudo-spiritual” about pointing out the commonalities among human mythology from various cultures, and pontificating on what those commonalities might represent?

The irony of most superhero movies being that they think every little logistics of the plot has to be earned, but the emotions of the characters are just something that can be alluded to in a line or two. 

Rocky IV is basically an experimental film. It’s like 75-percent montage. Which is impressive in its own way. 

It’s true that Johnson was the first to diverge crucially from the previous installment in the series.

It’s Disney’s way of trying to build up hype for this movie with fans who didn’t like TLJ. “Hey look guys, this movie will be back to what you know and love.”

Jesus. All but two of the more than 20 Marvel movies are written, directed, produced and star white cis males. WTF?

I grew up reading comic books, and in my home The Godfather trilogy and any Martin Scorsese movie were holiday flicks. I think Spider-Man 2 is one of the 10 best movies of the past 25 years. I have seen almost every Marvel movie in the theaters. 

Besides all of this, they can also start by spending less on adminstrator salary and remove all the superfluous bureaucratic BS positions that don’t do anything except justify why the overpaid adminstrators are switching curricula every 1.5 years.  

The only thing I’m arguing is that the difference between Chinese and American governments is one of degree.
