One of the reasons why Finland has the best schools in the world is that they have banned all private schools knowing that if the rich had to send their kids to the same school as everyone else, those schools will be well funded.

I’ve said it many times, but if you want to fix, say, public schools and minimum wage, make it mandatory that public servant’s kids must be enrolled in public institutions, and link Congressperson’s salary to 3-4 times minimum wage. They’d both be sorted out in a matter of weeks.

Pass a bill requiring a WAR TAX be imposed; pay all costs in real time. No war bonds; no borrowing from Social Security trust, just a straight-up and progressive WAR TAX. That would dissuade any president from starting a war, because they and their party would be promptly voted out.
