WTF? If you’re not thrilled about being alive, kill yourself, not the planet.

Totally. Only tall, blonde, white people like single payer. Who knows what the Blacks and Browns and gays will like. Would never work. Everyone knows Hispanics like to overpay for their health insurance, while Catholics prefer to pray away their diseases.
Greg Howard banned me, like completely. Like I wouldn’t even show up in the grays, when I pointed out that in his essay, “Bernie Sanders can’t save black people” he spent the entire essay demanding that Bernie Sanders do more to save black people, and that it was contradictory.
You’re right, they don’t. They conjure trumped up charges first, put you in a metal cage and then throw away the key. Just ask Chelsea Manning. Or Leonard Peltier. Or Mumia Abu Jamal. Or Simon Trinidad.
My first reaction was these were really stupid questions, as testosterone, in and of itself, has no real bearing on what “is” or “isn’t” a “woman” (or a “man” for that matter).
What the fuck is all this stanning for the US?
The people who are most responsible for him being in office are Black women. I doubt very many of those Black women who voted for him in were expecting him to be a Republican.
Sources? Evidence to support your claims?
This is exactly it. The Dems don’t want actual progress or change. They just want someone not as uncouth as Trump to be president.
A major problem, though, is that a lot of people who are aware of the inequality still believe in some misguided notion of “meritocracy.” Sure they’re being served scraps, but, hey, the people with all the steak deserve that steak.
Of course any sane person wants that. But sane people with at least average intelligence realize that throwing another “moderate” neo-lib out there because it’s “pragmatic” will give us another four years of Trump.
Neo-liberal policies have directly led to Trump. They have ciphoned money out of the middle-class and into the hands of a select few. And people are rightfully pissed about that. And because Centrist Dems actually work for the same people that Reagan, Bush, Bush and Trump work for (and Gingrich and Boehner and so on)…
This is the problem with the “good guy with a gun” narrative. The counterintuitive truth is that humans aren’t really all that good at violence. Although there are only a few barebones studies, the “hit” rate for police officers in shootouts is staggeringly bad. Just woeful. Even in suicide by cop situations where the…
It was many of the policies that he supported that made it possible for a numbnuts like Trump to win the presidency in the first place.
Yeahhhh. The first CA— which was actually a good CA film—told us that Bucky was important to Cap. It didn’t really show it though. Honestly, if the Winter Soldier had been Peggy Carter, the strong reaction from Cap would’ve made a lot more sense. Because, you know, the importance of that relationship had actually been…
I already acknowledged I was in the minority. What interests me is not what a lot of people like. A lot of people like to eat McDonalds. A lot of people smoke meth. A lot of people are Lakers fans. A lot of movie critics liked The King’s Speech. What does that have to do with me?
The last 30 mins and the Spider-Man parts were pretty fun. It’s a bland, self-serious mess of a movie besides that. In 2019 they actually went with the “he killed my parents” twist without any real buildup and people continue to think that’s ok.
I rewatched Ragnarok recently. It was probably in my top 5 after I first watched it. But with some distance, it’s kind of a mess of a film. I like what it did with the characters though. Thor went from being stale dinner roll of The Avengers, to, like, the piping hot, fresh garlic bread.
It’s basically the only Marvel movie with anything approaching real stakes. That makes it number 1 for me by default.
I’ve been hot-taking for years that the two Captain America sequels are amongst the worst of the MCU, and finally someone with an actual platform agrees with me.
