I already acknowledged I was in the minority. What interests me is not what a lot of people like. A lot of people like to eat McDonalds. A lot of people smoke meth. A lot of people are Lakers fans. A lot of movie critics liked The King’s Speech. What does that have to do with me?

The last 30 mins and the Spider-Man parts were pretty fun. It’s a bland, self-serious mess of a movie besides that. In 2019 they actually went with the “he killed my parents” twist without any real buildup and people continue to think that’s ok.

I rewatched Ragnarok recently. It was probably in my top 5 after I first watched it. But with some distance, it’s kind of a mess of a film. I like what it did with the characters though. Thor went from being stale dinner roll of The Avengers, to, like, the piping hot, fresh garlic bread.

It’s basically the only Marvel movie with anything approaching real stakes. That makes it number 1 for me by default.

I’ve been hot-taking for years that the two Captain America sequels are amongst the worst of the MCU, and finally someone with an actual platform agrees with me.

Every time I’ve actually needed a cop, I wait around for two hours, get condescended to by some dork with a 3rd grade reading level for 20 minutes and then am told that there’s nothing they can do.

You’re right. Cops arrest poor people and the mentally ill. Prosecutors send them to prison.

Not to mention that mine costs me $1200 each month, which is about a quarter more than my mortgage.

The comments section on splinter always works as a good emetic for me. These are supposed to be “progressives” who, whenever actual, you know, progressive issues arise, fall back into stances defending the status quo.

Well, thing is, the cocaine abuse would actually be a very obvious (in retrospect) answer for why:

I mean, I guess? It depends on a person’s goals. If a person wants to be good a lifting weights, they should lift weights. If they want to run a 10k, they should run. If they want to do 100 pushups, they should probably practice pushups. “Fitness” is more about tailoring one’s workouts toward one’s goals. But there

While I agree that this dude is milking his “results” how would this workout be a waste of time? The vast majority of people would benefit from any kind of workout, and anyone who can do 100 pushups and run a 10k is in pretty good shape.

Wait, is this...is THIS the medical emergency that kept Drew missing for all those months?

Ah yes. The pursuit of happiness. Forget peace, freedom, justice, dignity, respect, compassion, reason. Those are merely distractions from the real purpose of life--cool-ass electronic toys. To distract ourselves from...our lack of peace, freedom, justice, dignity, respect, compassion and reason.

Shitlibs don’t ever learn—when turnout is high, Dems tend to win in landslides. When turnout is low, Republicans barely win.

Far, FAR, too coherent, my man.

The best part of all of this is you let a guy who is brought to his knees by COOKED red onions say he was going to make quick work of you and impregnate your womenfolk.

While I’m not necessarily defending Barboza’s choices of “defense” up there, this criticism of MMA fighters ignores that the grappling/wrestling element muddles what are typical striking fundamentals. Lateral movement against someone hunting for a takedown often plays right into the wrestler’s preferences (moving

Gee. It’s almost as if a sport like basketball just attracts violent, angry people....

Do we really want to go over all the losses mainstream dems have incurred since Reagan became president? Because it’s a lot more embarrassing than those numbers you just posted (which are inaccurate, but I’ll let them stand because it’s a piss-poor argument anyway).
