The first thing you notice, once you look a little more closely into the Skins’ attempt to gain the high ground on Kirk Cousins, is that in the video meant to smear the quarterback as unreasonable, team president Bruce Allen repeatedly calls him “Kurt.”
It’s gotta be any violent sport. Wrestling, MMA, Boxing, Football, etc. I’ve played all manner of sports, including all the above listed (as well as Track and Field and Baseball) and nothing compares to a sport where you know you’re going to go out and take a beating and possibly get maimed.
Yeah, but there are a lot of idiots who seem to think so.
A proper prequel trilogy has to be their next step after finishing up this current trilogy, no?
Man, I cried when Dory got lost in Finding Dory. All I could think about was my little girl being lost and not knowing what to do. Terrible.
You guys have blinders on. What makes Rocky an interesting character is the dichotomy of being a big, dumb lug who’s good at violence, while also being so sweet and gentle with someone of Adrian’s disposition.
Mayweather may not even be top 25. Get out of here.
It was pretty obvious the writer didn’t have a clue as to what he was talking about when he wrote that Mayweather “annihilated” De La Hoya. Did he even watch the fight? De La Hoya arguably should’ve won that fight, much less was he “annihilated.”
The only reason anyone waffles about the outcome is because they’re dumb and/or in denial.
It’s not “a bread” though. It’s a hot dog “bun.” If it goes between a “bun” or a “tortilla” or a “pita” or a “flatbread” or anything that isn’t just “bread” or “slices of bread” then it’s not a true sandwich.
Pure wrestling isn’t what makes Romero such a joy to watch, though; it’s his...
Not all sports are athletic. A figure skater or gymnast is more of an athlete than a golfer, race car driver or e-sport athlete. This is dumb.
Right. I agree. I guess I just feel like the Deadspin staff harps on that idea so much that I get to a point like, “Ok. I guess, but now what” and I get annoyed that they—in my opinion—downplay how detrimental KD to GS was. I get that it was an awesome move for his own behalf and that he had every right to make that…
Yeah, that the current market controls/salary is responsible for the shittyness of the league is the narrative Deadspin keeps pushing and I’m not sure I’m totally on-board with it. I suppose I buy some of their arguments, but what’s the solution? They haven’t really provided one. And they trip all over themselves to…
Why? They’ll still just blame Mexicans and Muslims and Libtards.
Who says Mayweather doesn’t have stopping power? He fights ultra-conservatively against world-class boxers who are significantly bigger and stronger than he is. He fights smart and he fights to preserve his health.
You’re right, but there’s still an endurance issue with McGregor. He generally doesn’t look very good after, say, the 7 minute mark of an MMA fight. MMA is the more active sport, but still, if he can’t (and he won’t) KO Mayweather within the first 5 rounds, there’s a good chance he’ll be having some endurance issues.
By using his far, far superior boxing skills to land a hundred punches in a couple of rounds. Nate Diaz put McGregor on his ass and Nate Diaz is not exactly known as a power puncher. McGregor has said it himself, it’s more about precision and timing than sheer power. And mayweather will be more precise and better…
Damn, DC has produced more good movies than I remember.
