Yeah, I’m just a private pilot with less than 100 hours in PA28s, but I’ve never heard of switching tanks on climbout. My usual climb checklist is flaps up, fuel pump off, increase airspeed to cruise climb, and I save tank switching for cruise. Strange that a CFI would switch tanks at 1300ft unless there was some

Good save, but don’t switch fuel tanks on climb out. Wait till you’re at cruise. Then, if you change something and you have a problem, you have time to put it back. A proper preflight would’ve shown that imbalance as well.

As a local, there are two things that need clarification:

A bigger miscarriage of justice in NJ right now...

This is akin to medical malpractice. These cops need to fired in the same way lawyers are disbarred. New career, new field.

I can’t believe there are any good cops until every single other cop is calling for these cops to not be cops.

I’m in software development. I can’t tell you how many time I’ve seen ticket responses from developers and from myself that look like this:

As a regular on AA, this is not a surprise.

Why is this report coming out now? Did someone not get paid? Did someone blow a whistle?

“The government sucks at its job; news at 11.”

ORRRR

Even though it didn’t win, feel like the Crown Vic should have been omitted from the tally because being at literally every crime scene for 25 years is a bit unfair.

The C7 is front engine. This article is about the C8.

Uh-huh, it’s one thing to appear in a horror flick—not unlike all the extras populating a scene—but it’s quite another to be the star car:

I love to shit on GM almost as much as Jalopnik, but everything about the C8 seems like they hit it outta the park. And now this level of performance for that price is insane.

Funny. Reminds me of my youth when I had to ride on a school bus. Our driver was awful! He is one of the reasons I wished they had seatbelts. His last day driving us, he told us that he was leaving for his “dream job.” His dream job was to be a trucker. I mean, I’m sure that’s loads better than hauling obnoxious

It looks like that’s possible with a H-2B visa already.  The sponsorship and paperwork requirements may make it more suitable for a company that would find drivers in Canada and México and then contract them out to other companies.

Work Visas for truck drivers?  Probably more of a long term solution than a short term solution.

Leaving it in the middle of the street seems like abandonment. What are the rules for scrapping abandoned containers. There’s a lot of scrap weight there.

and those same damn ports that only worked 9-5 M-F, all the while they knew everything was backing up.
