Jaguar says the F type R’s transmission fluids are lifetime. So are the supercharger oil and differential fluid.

This reminds me of the time when I was driving I-70 during a snowstorm and 2 pickup trucks went roaring past me... and within 2 or three miles I saw both of them spinning separately off the highway in (thankfully) single vehicle accidents. I laughed and laughed.

VW auto transmissions have “lifetime fluid” and no dip stick or filler cap. They do, however, have a drain plug. If you’re not paying attention, that transmission drain plug looks like the engine drain plug. Ask me how I know.

“lifetime” fluids. No, your transmission is not service free...it just means they don’t want you checking the levels yourself and making sure its serviced at the dealer. Every single dealer will recommend a replacement interval for that fluid.
