It was an enjoyable but frustrating episode.Alastair is correct - I for one am definitely getting sick of love saving the day.

Yes, on reflection the 2nd episode should have moved more quickly through ended 6 months later with Bill discovering that the Doctor is "working with" the Monks, leaving all of this episode for their plan to put it right.

I don't know. I've only ever seen his name in print so I couldn't tell you how Americans pronounce it, let alone Brits :)

Particularly since the distinction only applies to N. American accents, and not even all of them, and doesn't take into account other English speakers.

For damn good coffee.

I wondered this as well. They could have kept the camera on Gordon and Albert and kept the dialogue the same and it would have worked just as well character-wise.

We don't know how long it's been since Gordon and Denise have seen each other, right? It could have been their first conversation in years in which case the subject matter makes more sense, on top of being heartwarming.

I hope so! As much as I've loved these first 4 episodes, I am missing Coop's relentless, unflappable positivity.

It was kind of heartwarming. "OK, I'll just wait here with you." That guy deserves a hug and a big tip.

He said "coffee" before he took a sip and "hi" after, if I remember correctly.

He also asked "what is this place?" in the room with the fireplace in episode three.

If she likes pizza as much as I do, that would only make him hotter.

It's like breaking your phone. Annoying more than anything else, but you're just gonna order a replacement anyway.

It's a problem with the whole Berlantiverse.

Not seeing it is one thing (I don't think I've seen any of the Star Wars films all the way through, maybe when I was a kid) but I still know pretty much everything that happens through general pop culture osmosis.

Fanwank: he knew that Kara needed 100% faith in herself to beat Rhea, and what better way to instil that faith than by telling her that's she's stronger than he is?

I can see it now.

From a credibility point of view, you can argue that it makes sense for Kara to be champion of Earth because National City had just witnessed a fight between Kara and Kal in which Kara (barely) came out on top. So from that perspective, the public would buy Supergirl as the champion over Superman.

Yeah, and to be fair Superman's repeated comments about her strength detracted from the fact that Supergirl BARELY won. She literally passed out immediately afterwards, she just happened to get the decisive hit in first.
