That wasn’t my imagination, that WAS Kevin Sorbo, right?

What’s incredibly wholesome about this - Ok, not the only thing, but ONE of the things- is that her brain has associated gaming with the joy of family togetherness.  She’s like the Dani Rojas of gaming. Gaming is love! Gaming is life!

I think you have just called out what should have been the real ending of Mass Effect. It feels like what the entire series had been building up to!

Sometimes my kids just get dunked. Like a baptism. Ok, rough towels!, rough towels! Into the jammies. Here’s your bottle. Love you. Now go (the fuck) to sleep.

I’m with you. I can feel 30 fps, but once you get up around 45, it feels pretty good. 60 feels even nicer, but the law of diminishing returns starts to kick in and it’s only marginally noticible. Above 60 fps, I notice even less of a difference. I have plenty of games that run 120-150 fps on my current 3700x/RTX 2070

I did this when I was in my later teens. I would grab lunch with one girl, hang out in the afternoon for a bit with another, maybe watch a movie in the evening with a third. My own mom thought it was weird, but it wasn’t like any of these dates were particularly romantic. Simply enjoyed their company, had easy-going

Snow wasn’t the only thing he’d been plowing.

You can use steam link to stream anything, not just Steam.

HDMI does have a limit in how far it can transmit before signal degradation sets in. That’s why finding an HDMI cable longer than 25 feet is hard and I think 50 is about the absolute maximum without a signal booster. They are making some HDMI cables with fiber optics now that will allow longer runs, but often time you

Damn, dude, save some pu...ns for the rest of us.

The real MVP for brake jobs is an impact screwdriver for that one screw. You know the one I mean.

I use mine a lot too. It’s really great for playing social games like Jackbox with a bunch of people in the living room, but it works really well for everything I’ve thrown at it.

Still makes more sense than the BMW X6.

Ditto. It’s a great little box. We use it to play Jackbox games with a bunch of people in the living room and it’s literally worth it JUST for that.

A steam link on a hardwired ethernet connection works amazingly well. Wireless is no bueno.

Yeah, but digging out my laptop, and having a place to set up, and plugging it in and then booting up and getting my controller set up and getting past the inevitable windows updates because I haven’t booted my gaming laptop in a couple of weeks is usually enough to dissuade me from doing it.

We’re all being totally Sirius right now.

This is absolutely my biggest hurdle to the Nintendo ecosystem. Their “tying the game to the console” philosophy is very consumer-unfriendly and we hates it. *hisses*

You may not know who this is for, but signing up to get one has been really competitive already. The servers are overloaded and I can’t get through and the high-end model is already out to q2 2022 already. So, clearly there are enough of us to move some units.
