I just don't understand how in 2014... with the laws we have in place, how you can continue to say that a woman has no right to decide what man she wants to be with based entirely on the events of one(obviously disturbing) night. You're right, there is probably a pattern of abuse in the Rice case, but people need to

Take game out. Put lock in. Game no workey no more. Save safe.

Kid picks up your copy of Zelda, goes to erase game, starts a new game where your 90% completed slot was.

If you can't put a game in, little Timmy can't pop in Legend Of Zelda and wipe your progress.

(Aside from everyone's answers) There are games that allow for saving in its cartridge. It has a tiny battery and enough memory to save your game progress. Downside is... sometimes the save data is deleted once you pull out the cartridge from the console. Bummer.

Stop your kids from erasing your game.

if my father had known about this back in the day, I'd probably still be friends with Vinny F down the street. He beat my dads Zelda save that was on the final dungeon.

Isn't it easier to just take away a necessary piece of hardware, like the controllers or power cord? On the other hand, my mom would get one of those tiny pad locks and hook it through the tiny holes in the power plug of our NES.

Back in the early days of games, typically there was only one save slot option available. If a child got onto the game, clicked 'new game' and then saved over it, all of your progress would be gone and CPS would be called shortly after.

It may come as a shock to you, but there are people in this world who will knowingly load up your games for the sole purpose of erasing your hard earned progress.

if you can't play it.. you can't over write a save game.. so its safe.. lol

Makes perfect sense to me. If you put it on there and your younger sibling didn't know the code they couldn't play the game without your knowing and accidentally erase your save files.

Well if you can't put the cartridge into the system, you can't overwrite the saves on it.

I'm assuming it's saying that your kid can't plug in your copy of Final Fantasy and overwrite your save file because the cart isn't able to be plugged in at all until you take the lock off.

Sometimes younger cousins, sisters, parents, and or friend just deleted your save files for their own amusement. It happened to me as a child. I sure do wish I had this.

This quote is apparently a pretty easy way to rack up stars these days.

This one, for others like me who had no idea what a "long change" was:

The entire ice surface will undergo a "dry scrape" prior to the start of overtime in the regular season.

"Everything is public relations now" is the macrocosm of what ails American society at the most fundamental level, which is a specific brand of narcissism. Who you were as a person and as a business used to be about what you DID, now who you are is largely based on who you SAY you are, via the clothing you wear or
