I once saw a rat gnawing on the carcass of a dead rat in a subway tunnel. Not sure why that memory is coming back to me at precisely this moment....

I think it remains to be seen that Bethany is a piece of shit. He made a joke that was pretty shitty given how seriously he should have taken Depp’s threat of violence against Heard (but would have been kind of funny if the situation had been less serious), but by itself it’s hard to tell if it was a moment of really

I didn’t even catch his involvement at first! I remembered the texts cuz they were graphic and disturbing AF but I didn’t catch who he was talking to, probably assumed it was some anonymous friend/yes man. I was reading about that case again recently for some reason and got to the texts and was like WAIT he was

Yeah people were just writing full articles about how hard it is to call out their racist cousin at Thanksgiving but can’t get how it would probably be difficult to publicly denounce your best friend of 20 years. Franco fucking sucks but Seth mostly said what he needed to say. He even apologized for specific instances

I liked his comments, actually. It read as if he is trying to be more self critical while understanding that his OWN feelings aren’t the point. His feelings aren’t relevant to the established issue of his friend being a creepy predator because the feelings of those women on whom the friend was a creepy predator are

Yeah for things like this I personally don’t think the public is entitled to a detailed account of the ending of a close friendship. The “we aren’t really friends anymore” subtext was fairly clear. I feel like for some reason people want him to say yup we were friends but now I think he’s gross and I hate him. But all

I’ve made the same comment a few times, but asking famous people about their friends who are abusers is putting them in a terrible position. I agree with what Rogen said, his opinion is the least valuable here.

People are moral cowards when it comes to their friendships.

I mean, Seth met this dude when they were teenagers so it likely is hard to process but also hard to articulate that this person you knew or thought you knew for years did bad things to people and now you need to answer on the record about the state of your decades long friendship. TBH his answer was more definitive

Note about Zeroville: It was released in 2019, but filmed in 2014 with almost no publicity campaign on release. It’s likely they haven’t worked together since 2017.

This statement gives me hope, so yes, it counts for something as it demonstrates understanding that other people were hurt by his seemingly former friend. It would be hard to announce the end of any relationship in an interview, unless one wants to showboat their new enlightenment.

I think I understand his point when he said his opinion isn’t relevant. No one wants to believe their good friend is capable of doing terrible things.  It’s difficult to process.  It sounds like he’s on a path to understanding. He seems like a thoughtful person. I hope he gets there.

I think I’ve been to those two places only once or twice each. It’s not good, but they serve a purpose. A friend of mine loves Applebees because he travels a lot for work, and it gives him some level of consistency (even if it is consistently mediocre at best). They’re relatively cheap, so if you get a per diem, you

See, I don’t get that he’s posing. It’s only she who must perform: show her skinny legs, her manicure, and fake tan. Her insecurity fairly well guarantees that she’ll be replaced with a quickness.

It looks like he just bought a woman.

The article here mentions 8 items (barbecue brisket tacos, clam chowder, brunch burger, triple bacon burger, sweet and savory grilled chicken, and loaded potato soup...plus indirect mentions chicken wonton tacos and riblets) out of the roughly 60 (160-100) items removed from the menu. The CNN article linked to here as

Riblets are about as complicated as a 4 piece jigsaw puzzle.

I fail to understand why anyone voluntarily goes to Applebee’s. There’s one near my house and it’s usually pretty busy. Their food is so terrible.

Anything that was complicated to prepare reheat and assemble.

Good news: They’re not getting rid of anything good.
