It’s pretty much like rollercoasters – some people will get sick riding them, others won’t. Nobody is going to change rollercoasters in order to make it work for all people.

Oh, yeah I totally agree! The game does allow for free movement though, without any teleportation... then again, I’m not sure it lets you jump or if it requires you to teleport... 🤔

Hehe, yeah, my brain noped out after the first turns using the thumb sticks in Resident Evil as well. It adjusted really quickly though.

If I remember correctly it was 120 fps, 60 for each eye... but I might be wrong.
I think people just react differently to it. But like I said, I think it’s all a matter of your body getting used to the sensation of movement while being stationary.

It has free movement.

I don’t think developers need to find a way to cope with the issue, I think users do. Playing Resident Evil 7 the movement did make me feel nauseous at first, especially when turning quickly with the thumb sticks (like you mentioned), or when walking down stairs. But the longer you use the headset the more you get

Absolutely not. Limiting player movement in VR games to teleportation or making the games on-rails is absolutely the wrong way to go.

It’s got Battlepacks that you can spend money on. You absolutely don’t have to though. You will get a Battlepack after every few rounds, the better you did in those rounds, the faster you’ll get them. Apart from some melee weapons, it only contains weapon and vehicle skins and XP boost.

Meh. While everyone here needs to change their pants after watching the trailer, I’ll just say “meh”.

Bummer it’s not in VR (or is it?). The flying would be amazing in VR and the polygonal look is easy to maintain in a VR game I suppose.

No, it’s saddening me. Because nothing anyone will ever tell you will make you realize how much of a douche you actually are. You will just keep on acting like an asshole online, calling other people ‘fucking morons’ and generally be miserable.

Since you’re the expert on that, you might be right.

I love telling people they’re fucking morons.

Yet you cared enough to tell me that.

...the real sad thing about your comment is that you got 11 stars for it.

That I can get behind. Well said.

So you, as the CEO of DICE, would just walk into Andrew Wilson’s office and tell him that your studio with hundreds of people, that is under contract by EA, will refuse to implement systems that makes EA more money and that they should find someone else to do it?

I don’t think it’s as easy as you make it sound. Protesting is fine, but refusing to follow a publisher’s wish might endanger the whole development studio. And the way EA chews up and spits out some studios is notorious. Plus I would think a lot of things are agreed upon in contracts – for example, DLC,

Nice and silly is the best kind of nice and silly!

Don’t blame the developer, blame the publisher. I really doubt this is DICE’s doing.
