Another lame article just fanning flames. Who cares who copies who. If it's better for us as consumers, and we get a better piece of technology, who the eff cares?

A truck. I only haul stuff a few times a year. Rather then buy a big truck/SUV/gas-waster, I just rent one when I need it. $200-400 a year is better than $40,000+gas any day in my book.

@JoshGlzBrk: That's not how Google Maps locates you. They locate you via GPS or cell tower triangulation.

@badasscat: I'm actually in this exact situation. Needless to say, I'm not happy about it and looking for other opportunities. Our parent company has absorbed (terminated) most of our positions that we're less then half of what we used to be, and it shows no signs of stopping.

@sid9221: Well I can see your keyboard has become self-aware and has activated it's caps-lock to annoy the rest of us humans from interacting on the web.

@Darth Pugz: Because those people don't have to pay for kids.

@Wwhat: Last time I checked, kids cost a fortune. I'll pay more taxes to NOT have to pay for kids.

GX 270's and 280's are horrible about the capacitors going out. But their 620's, 745's, and 755's aren't much better. We've phased out the 270's, and I refuse to put out a 280 on the floor. I just recycled about 30 620's because their capacitors failed and they're out of warranty. I've had a few 745's and 755's

@dallasmay: I think what everyone doesn't realize is that nook is running android 1.6. This gives it a HUGE advantage over the Kindle. Since Android now has a kindle app, it's only a matter of time before we get Kindle working on the nook. We'll have both libraries to choose from soon.

@tubby: I just went through the same thing but decided on the nook. I need expandable storage (via micro sd), which the kindle does not have. I have 1.6gb of books in pdf format. That right there kills the kindle.

I'm an android user and I agree the marketplace is pretty bad. I've thought for a while that they should add a column for "Most popular" or "Best Selling" apps instead of "Top Paid". I was sifting through the "Top Paid" apps and there were some pretty crappy apps, and way down there was Heavy Gunner 3d. Best game

@FigNinja: I agree. Not sure what's taking so long. I'm waiting on someone to port the Kindle app to the nook so I can access that glorious kindle library.

@Harpsichord: So far so good. It has some obvious negatives. Keyboard on the touchscreen is so small. Took me 5 tries to enter in my email address to register the nooke because I kept accidentally tapping "cancel" on the keyboard.

Ok I'm an Android fanboy, but I've tried replicating this with 4 different iphones in the office, with good reception and with little reception and can't replicate the issue. I've tried shorting it out with my hand, key, and copper wire. The only thing I haven't tried (because they won't let me) is dunking it in

@AreWeThereYeti: Unless your an avid reader. My Nexus hurts my eyes after looking at the LCD screen for more then 30 minutes. Try reading on your Nexus for more then 3 hours. Nope. Phone is dead. Try reading it in the sunlight. Nope. I already had 200+ books on my Nexus. Just got my nook today.

@dallasmay: If some devs can pick it up and port the app, I'll keep the Nook and just root it. Best of both worlds. I'll give it 14 days though.

WTF!, after debating between the Kindle and the Nook for weeks, the fandroid in me made me choose the Nook despite the kindle's overwhelming supply of books. It literally just arrived about an hour ago.

@Aenean: BN says they're still working on it. Nothing yet though.

@Hedgeworth: All I got from your statement is that you are a lesbian dating a transsexual geek. I could be wrong, but that rarely ever happens.

@MadCow234: Hanging on SJ's balls much?
