That’s our favorite pastime! It’s impossible not to snark on the wildly unrealistic expectations of the couples featured on the show. Plus, they usually choose the worst home that makes the least amount of sense for the parameters they’ve described.

Awww, that’s so cool! Where in SoCal? I lived there for a few years and got married there last year. It’s gorgeous, if we could find what we wanted down there, we would have stayed forever.

I’ve taught multiple age groups (middle- and high-school) in various subjects throughout my professional career, so I already had some acquired skills. Recently, I have been taking classes in a certificate program to prepare myself for graduate school. That’s what led me to being more qualified for my career…

It’s in educational consulting. I finally realized that that’s where my heart truly lies, and I know that will be a much better fit for me than teaching. Hopefully it works out :)

That’s amazing! I really want to buy a bike but I know I wouldn’t use it often enough :( Also, we don’t have a place to store it since we’re still a few years from purchasing any property.

Not teaching will feel amazing. I took several months off a year ago and swore I wouldn't go back. I had to, for financial reasons. Now, God willing, *crosses fingers* it looks as though these last two months will end with my permanent break from teaching :)

I really hope it works out for you! A huge move like that is so exciting - I did it several years ago (cross-country) and it changed my life. It was one of the most difficult but rewarding experience for me. Best of luck!

Karen sadly reminds me of some members of my family that I no longer speak to. Lookswise (and in some respects, attitude-wise) Gizelle also reminds me of some family members, but she is considerably less tolerable than they are.

What kind of dog insurance did you all get if you don’t mind my asking? We’re in the market for our dog and puppy and could use some suggestions.
