They’re getting SSDs... No HDD at all as standard. And you won’t be able to play games off of HDDs anyway; too slow. All you can use them for is bulk storage of currently unused games.

Xbox Series X games need to be on fast storage to run properly. So all games, regardless of them being backwards compatible or designed for the system, need to be run from internal storage or the first party expansion storage.

It’s also not 1996 anymore. Trapping your game on to a physical console in 2020 is completely absurd and any other publisher or console maker would be screamed about for months until they changed it.

Not even being able to back it up or one-way transfer in case of system failure is not a “non-issue.” That’s ridiculous nonsense that has no place in a game in 2020.
