What about your carves?
What about your carves?
Because many other games don’t require the skill to do those things that MH does. In simpler games, EVERYONE feels like a badass because they can mash buttons and wind up maybe doing interesting things. MH requires a precision that many games nowadays have given up in favor of accessibility, so those who master it…
You spent all that time creating a character...and none in the training area.
So much this!! I’m not sure what Ash was playing, but it doesn’t even sound like the same game that I’m firmly in the middle of right now. The game literally has you play out exactly how Link gains the respect of the Champions and Revali straight up reviles him - he takes every opportunity to wish harm and failure…
There were alternate cost counters/spells in Masques. Most traded tempo (returning Islands to your hand) for an effect. So Gush lets you draw two at instant speed for returning Islands (so if you found your self losing in a counter battle, you could dig), Misdirection was a tempo Redirect (return Islands to change…
It doesn’t really get fun until there are six spells on the stack, all Islands in play have been tapped, and you’re STILL worried about a counter being played. I played a lot of Blue Skies during Masques block and those counter battles in the mirror could get insane.
Oh god, I miss strict permission decks so much. Or combos backed by heavy permission (Trix, Oath).
They can’t, though - that’s the problem.
I’m one of those people. I was a PC gamer before some on here were born and 25+ years later, the problems are still the same. Poorly optimized ports and more time spent making a game work than actually playing it. About 10 years ago I moved back to consoles and haven’t missed a thing. Games just work. There is no…
The X already does that for many games...
There are two consoles coming. One a sort of mid-range device slightly more powerful than the X and one that’s high-end and a lot more powerful. “Lockheed” and “Anaconda” if you want to do some Googling. And I think the naming is entirely intentional. MSFT looks to be headed towards a more iterative model for the…
The X is in Xbox because it was designed as a “DirectX Box”. It still uses DirectX (as do all Windows PC games), so I’d say it still fits.
I’ve got a son myself who is coming into gaming age, so I’ve kind of appreciated all of the Disney/Pixar games - they seem pretty perfect for him to start gaming with and they haven’t cost me a cent. And they aren’t going anywhere when Scarlet comes out next year - we’ll be able to play them there too.
How do those boots taste?
Thank you so much for all of this.
Oh, I’m pretty sure at this point that’s what we’re shooting for. It’s been a good run, but Deadspin is gone (from an Editorial point of view) and I’m sure Kotaku is poised to lose some of their talented folks as well, whether in solidarity with Deadspin and the GMG Union or just to the natural effects of Spanfeller…
Get fucked, boot-licker!
I AM BLACK.
It’s what I do for Anthem, too.
At their height, Nazi party enrollment was only 10% of the German population. Nobody should be worried about that, right? Just 10%.
