I just realized today I’ve been hanging around Kotaku for more than a decade. And that it’s the only Kinja verse site I’m sticking around for - io9 is a hollow shell of itself, Gizmodo was a pale imitation of io9 and is now less than that, and Splinter is gone.  And other than Jason’s penchant for delaying everything

Can I just say loudly and proudly FUCK PETER THIEL WITH HULK HOGAN’S BANDANA AND AJ DAULERIO’S SMIRK.

I wish I knew how to change my avatar so I could be in solidarity with everyone. But change scares me.

i love good herb content

Hell yeah, thank you.

You know, the only thing I love more than sports is the inability to talk about my love of sports with anyone else, so I can’t express enough how glad I am that Spanfeller finally killed that awful comment function on Deadspin.

How do these games make money without starting themselves up when you walk into the room and playing a Farmers Insurance ad?

That is essentially an obituary for all these sites. The final nail in the coffin.

Incoming memo from corporate: STICK TO switch PORTS

You know what would be great? If there was a site like this that was dedicated to sports... but also things that have nothing to do with sports! And one that could let you comment on their articles for sports and not sports. That’s a site I would read every day. Think of how well such a site would do if, you know,

Can you imagine Kotaku during the Gamergate heyday under G/O? “yOu mUSt StICk tO eTHiCs iN GamEs jOuRnaLiSM”

Stick to sporks:

Who watches sports when you can just hit refresh on as many autoplaying video ads as possible?

[cries in deadspin]

I just know that when I’m enjoying some hot, sticky SPORTS action I don’t like anything else creeping in on my good time. Frumpy orange wannabe dictators, hurricane warnings, global crisises, NONE OF IT!! STICK TO SPROTS!!!

This is the sports content I love to see

I’m gonna miss Deadspin...
